WELLBEING WEEK – 5Rhythms, a movement meditation, dance practice that changed my life – Sophie Daubisse

Dancing has always rhythmed my life. If I don’t dance for too long, my body aches. I feel sick. From Ballet (for 15 years) to Contemporary (for another 15 years), I discovered 5Rhythms about 10 years ago and from there, everything changed. Dance became, not a practice to perform, to compare myself with other performers, not a place to judge myself or others, but a practice to be who I am, a conscious way of living, a tool I can use in my daily life and a place to heal. I’m trying to inspire others with this practice… it takes a long time to peel the layers of judgment towards body movement. It holds a lot of fear.
5Rhythms has been a miraculous healer.
