Set up a company in Bali (a PT PMA) with up to 100% foreign ownership. EMERHUB
Most of the Bali ex-pat stories start the same way. A casual trip to Bali left us with an urge to get back and build a lifestyle here.
Go anywhere in areas like Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Sanur, Ubud – and you’ll easily find a foreigner running their own restaurant, hotel, Airbnb rental, surf shop, etc. Or a group of internet entrepreneurs running their international business next to a rice field.
EMERHUB mission is to make starting and administering a business in Bali the easy part. There is plenty of bureaucracy in Bali but you don’t need to be an expert in Indonesian laws or tax codes. We will take care of that for you. You can focus on creating the lifestyle and business you aspire to.
Triin Tigane works as a Branch Manager at Emerhub Bali, representing an international company with four offices in Southeast Asia. The company’s united mission is to lower entry barriers in emerging markets. Triin herself holds a master’s degree from the University of Tartu, Estonia, and has studied law also in France and Austria. Having a legal background in M&A, commercial and corporate law, restructuring and insolvency as a former associate of a leading law firm in the Baltics, Triin has experience working with companies all around the world.
Investing in Indonesia
Many people are interested in starting a company and exploring work options in Indonesia. Rules and regulations in Indonesia have changed a lot over the past 10 years, especially regarding the rules around investments and starting companies. Rules are now more efficient, integrated, and transparent. You’ll get a clear idea as to what path to take forward during this presentation which will include a broad range of insights and understandings.

Terje Nilsen is a former parent of three graduates of Green School and the Co-owner and Director of Seven Stones Indonesia. Terje has been assisting and advising families for over a decade. His company is one of the most well respected in Bali for real estate, establishing a business, visa, and other local business challenges.
Investment and A Case Study – Luke Janssen
Luke Janssen is a Green School parent who has launched multiple businesses around the world. He’ll share his insights on his own launch here in Bali as well as giving an understanding on how to get investment and financing. He will be joined with his business partner, Rebecca Yik, as they provide unique insights and perspectives to the Bali market.

15 years ago Luke Janssen quit his job at KPMG and build Tigerspike, a 300 person technology company across 8 offices. After selling Tigerspike Luke moved to Bali with his 3 kids who now go to the green school. Luke now works with Rebecca Yik (also speaking) to help people quit their jobs and start their own companies.
The talk will be happening at The Bridge, but we will live stream it also.
