It is time we reframe the economic thinking that orient our action so we can respond regeneratively to the challenges we face. “Economics” frequently ignores a lot of what makes life possible… and meaningful. An economy beyond markets and states, where people and nature matter. What would that look like?

I worked for ten years with social entrepreneurship in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, when my wife and I decided to move to the countryside to live a life with lower impact and integrated with nature. Today I host conversations around economics and complexity at Escola Schumacher Brasil in courses and in organizations and support a company that produces coconut water with reducing their environmental impact.
