Christine Bader’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Atlantic, and many other publications. In 2010 she took a workshop with The OpEd Project that gave her the confidence, inspiration, and sense of urgency to share her expertise with the world.
In this workshop, Christine will share key takeaways from her involvement with The OpEd Project over the past eight years: from why op-eds matter, to the basics of writing and pitching, to owning your expertise and understanding why it matters to the world.
Christine Bader is the author of “The Evolution of a Corporate Idealist: When Girl Meets Oil.” Her writing about corporate social responsibility has appeared in The New York Times, The Atlantic, and numerous other publications; and she has given talks to conferences, companies, and universities around the world, including a TED talk in 2014. She has worked for Amazon as director, social responsibility; for BP (formerly British Petroleum) in Indonesia, China, and the U.K., managing the social impacts of major company projects; and for the United Nations special representative on business and human rights. She is from New York City.
