Offering Making for Full Moon Ceremony
April 26, 2021 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am
Finding balance in Full Moon.
We invite the parents to learn how to make a canang sari, a basic Balinese offering which is Balinese made for praying on Full Moon and learn about how ceremony and prayers are central to the daily life of the Balinese. After that, we will together offer the canang sari to Padmasana, the School temple.
On the full moon, the Balinese celebrate Purnama (which means “perfect”). It is believed that when the moon is brightest, Chandra the moon god gives his blessings through lunar light. The Balinese pray at their homes and sometimes visit temples.
Please note: Because we will make the sacred canang sari and pray to the temple, for women please make sure you are not on a period.
