NATURE WEEK – UnPanel Discussion – Lense of Hope

September 3, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Let’s break up the monotony of panels where we tend to talk a lot with no outcome. So we are bringing you the UnPanel where we are going to leave with community actions items.

Humans impact their physical environment in many ways: overpopulation, pollution, burning fossil fuels, and deforestation. This has triggered major climate impact.

We are in the age of the Anthropocene, where our day-to-day choices are having long-lasting impacts on our local and global environment. But, all too often, it becomes hard to figure out which of our choices are most important when we try to reduce our environmental impact. And we are seduced into thinking that one set of solutions is ‘right’, while we are often unaware of the wide range of options we have to consider gently reducing our footprint on our world. This conversation can also be overwhelming and we tend to lose hope.

This UnPanel will bring together experts from a range of fields to discuss how we can better understand our impact and how we can all seek to reduce them.

Let’s take action, explore solutions and operate through a lense of hope.
