May 29, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
The old adage is that a picture is worth a thousand words, but is it worth 8 seconds? the average attention span of a human plummeted to eight seconds–down from 12 seconds in 2000–which means at nine seconds, goldfish now have a longer attention span than your fellow homo sapiens. Psychologists generally agree that there are six basic emotions: anger, disgust, fear, happiness, sadness, and surprise. If you can successfully capture and communicate one or more of these emotions you can hold your audience’s attention. So come along and explore the essential building blocks of a story and effective image creation.
Having worked in the San Francisco Bay Area with my wife Stephanie Rausser for over 20 years, we were able to build a successful advertising photography business collaborating with clients such as Apple, Disney, and Levi Strauss. The creative process is the art of distilling a complex idea into the essence of its meaning. Consistently connecting audiences to our clients through the lens of our brand has provided both welcome challenges and many gratifying experiences. Most importantly it has brought lasting relationships that continue to enrich our lives today.
