When the logic of learning is not that logical – Marjan Jongerius -Vast
May 31 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
We all say that we want to be unique and want to be seen for the talents and skills that we have. Don’t be average but be unique and be seen. The same accounts for your child. Right? But what happens when your child is not average in learning, at all? Do we and educators still see the child for who the child is, or will they be compared with the average learning curve? With the consequence of dropping out of regular education systems? I would like to share the journey of my and our child with learning disabilities. How we identified, acknowledged, embraced, turned it into something positive, became creative in finding possibilities, and learned from our child how it is to really be unique.
Marjan Jongerius -Vast – She is a talent-driven social entrepreneur, education enthusiast, and mother, she is constantly seeking and creating opportunities for young adults with learning difficulties. To create a community where we look after each other, where children with learning difficulties get opportunities to be seen, to live, learn, share, develop, experience, and grow into independent adults who can contribute to modern society. Her mission is to create impact and possibilities, to speak up, and to connect in a sincere, authentic, and enthusiastic way. To create development and growth.
This Talk is happening at The Bridge, but we live-stream it also.
