DESCRIPTION:Please join us to watch Sepideh: Reaching for the Stars\, a documentary about a young Iranian girl who is defying the odds and cultural boundaries to become a scientist (astrophysicist). Be a part of helping fulfill her vision to build an observatory in Iran for aspiring young students. Q & A with Sepideh after the film. \nI am the author of the Teacher-Gamer Handbook (2021). I saw Sepideh’s film on an airplane on my way to Bali on Qatar Airlines in 2014 and began corresponding with her over the last 10 years. I have been given the rights to show her movie by Sepideh and the documentary director Berit Madsen and to promote her vision for children to become scientists\, especially for girls in suppressed cultures. This is a fundraiser to bring attention and funding to the building of an observatory in Iran.
