Seeds Of Change – Inspiring Youth To Carry Forward The Farming Legacy – Yeni Aspini
February 20 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Witnessing the disappearance of the farmers in Bali – Seeds of change – hopefully will inspire the young generation especially local youth to carry on the legacy of farming. These days as we all see we are witnessing the disappearance of farmers. Our farmers are getting old and the land is neglected and we are slowly losing the traditional farming knowledge. Hopefully leading by example will inspire them that there are millions of opportunities in Bali especially in the farming field.
Location: Green Warung Second floor.
Yeni Aspini, is a local Balinese who now has a successful business associated with Coffee – Vanilla and Spices – Export-Import – Manufactures. She is also a farmer’s daughter, who was (when she grew up) HATED being one because it was associated with poverty and an embarrassing profession but she spent her childhood helping at the farm rather than playing with her friend. She left her house when she was 16 yo trying her luck to go to the city and started lying to friends, acting like her parents were something else but farmers. She started doing a side hustle to save money so she could go to college and earn a degree. She managed to work with a big company (Bali Airport) in the commercial strategy and that got her to travel around the world and open her eyes. Then She moved to Melbourne and lived there for 5 years which made her realise how important farmers are in our life. That brings her back to Bali with a mission of bringing back the farming legacy. And now She is very Proud of being a farmer and grateful to be a farmer’s daughter.
