[Fully Booked] Regenerative Farm Tour and Sibangkaja Village Walk – Astungkara Way
September 10 @ 8:45 am - 2:00 pm
Walk with the Astungkara Way team to their Regenerative Farming Learning Centre. Open your eyes to local ingenuity, soak in the tranquility of the rice paddies, get your hands on the principles of regenerative agriculture, partake in a delicious lunch from the field, and more. Engage with and contribute to our Regenerative Movement.
The workshop begins with a 45-minute walk from Green School to the nearby rice paddies with some talking points along the way to familiarize you with aspects of a Balinese village. On arrival at Astungkara Way’s Regenerative Farming Learning Centre, you will have a hands-on experience of the principles of regenerative agriculture and learn about the community engagement and ecosystem restoration work of the Astungkara Way. A lunch made with ingredients from the field will be prepared and enjoyed followed by a deep relaxation session of yoga nidra. You will also make souvenirs of the experience using natural materials from the garden.

Tim Fijal is the Founder of Astungkara Way, a long-term resident of Bali from Vancouver, Canada. He founded a programme called Kul Kul Connection at Green School, an initiative to embed the international school in its Balinese village context while uniting local and international community members to address sustainability challenges. He left Green School in 2020 to start his work with Astungkara Way. It is an effort to connect humans with nature and draw them closer to their food source. This regenerative action involved ecosystem restoration and youth engagement in regenerative agriculture. www.astungkaraway.com
