MEET UP – Photography Club

Come and join us for another Photography Club!!!

We will feature a slideshow event presenting works by Green School Community photographers, followed by q&a and discussion of the images.

Manifesto

• to share art and vision, rather than discuss gear
• to support creativity
• to learn from each other

Format

• • before the event
    • 3-4 photographers submit ~20 photographs and a soundtrack file

• deadline for submissions is May 4th!

• • the facilitator creates a standardized slideshow for each contributor
• at the event
  • the contributors are briefly introduced
  • the slideshows are played, letting the art speak for itself (i.e. no introduction of the images by the artist)
  • the group is opened up for discussion and Q&A for each contributor in turn; either focusing on the whole body of work or individual images

Technical details for contributors

• • please submit 15-25 images total
    • images should be between 1080 and 2000 pixels on the shortest side
    • color space is not important, but would typically be sRGB
    • files should be names with the number sequence, and contributor’s name
      • e.g.  “1_ADRIAN.jpg”
    • no watermarks or captions
  • each image will be displayed for 10 seconds
  • sound file should be long enough for the entire slideshow (i.e. number of photos x 10s)
  • share files with gsphotoclub@gmail.com via Google Drive or Dropbox
