Happy Eating : Easy Practices to Feel Good – Karen Couto

This workshop will allow you to experience and incorporate in your routine easy habits to nourish your mind/body/soul in order to have more energy and feel much better. What to expect? Learn how you can combine the pleasure of eating with wellness. 1. morning rituals and hands-on healthy practices ~ oil pulling, tongue scraping, dry skin brushing, alternative shower, the importance of breathing, the benefits of fasting, the best time for eating and food combination, 2. hands-on easy cooking methods. Healthy practices, where to start? You are well informed about nourishment and healthy food but still, get confused with so much information around? You usually don’t have time to yourself but would love simple changes towards your well-being?
Karen Steiner do Couto is post-graduated in Functional Gastronomy (FAMESP) and she is the author of the book “Você Pode Ser Mais Feliz Comendo” (you can be happier eating). It was nominated best book of Brazil by Prazeres da Mesa’ Magazine. Since 2010 she is specialized in Integrative Gastronomy (body, mind, soul nourishment). Karen puts forth a life philosophy that incorporates physical, therapeutic, and meditation practices. Her cooking has simple yet flavorful recipes based on fresh, natural, and local ingredients with the use of medicinal herbs. She worked with Heinz Beck, IT, Ferran Adrià, ES. She writes for Harpers Bazaar BR.
Venue: Green Village Pondok Kebun or Tower House.
The minimum number of participants is 10 people.
What To Bring:
- Little glass jars (to take home toothpaste)
- Swimsuit (if the participant wants to experience dry brushing and scrub).
