Green Stone Mingle – Come and Support our Grade 12 Students

An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Tuesday and Thursday, repeating until March 24, 2022
An event every day that begins at 10:30 am, repeating until March 18, 2022
As our graduates enter their final semester we come together as a community to support the preparation for their Green Stone presentations in June.
The Bridge is hosting multiple meetings, and in each of them, 4 students will share their path, their challenges and we will have the opportunity to offer them guidance, suggestions, and most of all love and strength in such an important period of their lives.
A requirement for every Green School graduate is a capstone project, known as Green Stone. Green Stone is a year-long inquiry and process where students demonstrate a mastery of core skills and Green School skills. This can be a passion project, an area of interest, or a solution to a real-world problem. The Green Stone experience culminates in a 13-minute TED-style talk the week before graduation. It is a life-changing experience and prepares every student for their next adventure and arguably for the rest of their life. Green Stone is a process and an experience that not only develops skills but also provides a platform to demonstrate mastery of those skills.
Projects For This Day
Parker – Songwriting
My project is about my passion for songwriting, and the creative process that goes into creating a song. My goal was to share my passion with others and teach other people how they can use songwriting as a tool to process their emotions.
Where do I need help? I think I need help writing my speech and learning to present.

Olivia Salkeld – (about veganism, zero-waste, Wellness)
I’m planning to make a book about veganism: the health benefits, environmental, and ethical reasons. This book will be a practical guide for anyone looking to live a more sustainable lifestyle, by giving simple, vegan recipes, nutrition tips, and tips and insight on how to live a low or zero waste lifestyle. I will be sharing about what is important for a healthy lifestyle and practices that helped me with mental health.
Where do I need help? I think I need help with meeting with people that have knowledge on my topic, speech writing, maybe later bookmaking

Rumi Topanga – A Kitchen for Now
I am currently building Greenschool’s new and improved student kitchen. I have Designed it and planned out the whole thing. I am now creating 2 different classes for the high school audience so maybe someone might learn or further a passion for cooking.

Tiago da Riva di Petta – Jembatan Budaya
The aim of my project is to re-establish a connection more meaningful than before between the Green School Bali students and the Kul Kul Connection. Ever since the pandemic, we have completely lost contact between KKC and GSB and I want to bring that back stronger than before through my passions—the environment, and sport.
Where do I need help? I need help in creating reasons, how do I establish friendships, how do I find committed individuals? I need a mentor and someone that can help me stay on track and be pro-active in my Greenstone journey
The Green Stone will be happening every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:40 am – 12:30 pm.
This mingle is happening at The Bridge but we will Livestream it also.
