Discover Freediving Experience – Dan Frolec

Discover Freediving is an introductory freediving experience that allows you to see the amazing underwater life as well as to hold your breath for the first time. You will learn how to use your body and mind to explore the underwater world with a single breath under the guidance of a certified Apnea Academy freediving instructor.
Learn the basics of freediving theory, how to relax your body and mind, how to breathe in order to be able to hold your breath comfortably underwater, underwater swimming in the confined space of a swimming pool, and open water training in shallow water.
Schedule:
Day 1, January 31th:
8:45 Meet at the Tirta Arum swimming pool Abiansemal
9:00 Introduction to freediving
9:30 Breathing, stretching, and relaxation techniques for the freediving workshop
10:00 Static & Dynamic – breath-hold in the pool stationary and while swimming underwater
11:30 Duck dive and equalization practice
12:00 Finish, Q&A
Day 2, February 2nd:
8:30 Meet at OK Divers Padangbai, check equipment, and kit up
9:00 Boat to our freediving locations close to Padangbai
9:30 Open water freediving training with the line, snorkeling for fun if we have time
12:30 Lunch together, Q&A
14:00 Departure
15:15 Arrive at Green School
What is included:
Day 1: swimming pool entry, training
Day 2: boat, instruction, the second guide, training equipment, wet suit, snack, lunch
What is NOT included:
Transport to and from the venues. Every participant is encouraged to have their own mask, snorkel, and fins for a better fit.

Dan Frolec is a Green School parent since 2016, an experienced freediver and scuba diver, a certified Apnea Academy freediving instructor, and an AustSwim teacher of swimming and water safety. He loves the ocean and is passionate about sharing his experience with people who are interested in exploring the underwater world in a single breath.
