Accidental Death of an Anarchist – High School Theater production
December 15, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
1970. Milan. Italy. A few weeks ago, an anarchist, who was illegally arrested under suspicion of carrying out a major bomb attack, conveniently fell out of the interrogation room window to his death.
This chaotically comic political satire, based on a true story, is full of clowning, bawdy humor, and madness. The award-winning script by Dario Fo has been produced, designed, and performed by High Schoolers. This production has ambitions to be the most environmentally responsible in Green School’s history as we balance our carbon budget with our financial budget and use our surplus to offset our carbon through a partnership with Dungbeetle.

Dress code
‘Accidental Death of an Anarchist’ is set in the 1970s, and we invite you to get into the spirit of that glamorous decade. So unbutton those flowery shirts, put on all your necklaces, and release that chest hair! It’s all blowouts and bright lipstick! We are excited to see you dressed up and see some inspiration below…
Sustainability goals
This year’s production follows the Green Book principles, a framework designed to guide Theater Shows toward greater environmental responsibility. Our goal is to meet the Advanced target, meaning to produce a carbon-neutral Theater show. To meet this target we only reuse, recycle, and borrow materials to build the set, props, and costumes, all of which are designed to have an afterlife. No waste allowed! Since we found out that emitting zero carbon is impossible, we designed a new way that still lets us meet our goal and even supports a former Green School student Freddie, and his carbon offsetting company, Dungbeetle. All the income we generate through ticket sales will be spent sponsoring a new Miyawaki forest in a local school near Sibang!
Power-Generating Bike
To power the main lights, a parent team has built a power-generating bicycle. So we need fit and passionate cyclists; without you, the lights don’t power up! This is an amazing opportunity to help the show happen and will make it even more environmentally responsible.
